¡Viva Houston! The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce is proud to join the 2026 Fiestas Patrias Houston Parade — one of the most vibrant and beloved celebrations in our city!

Under this year's theme, "Rooted in Legacy. Inspirando el Futuro." — Rooted in Legacy. Inspiring the Future. — the parade will once again bring together schools, businesses, nonprofits, cultural organizations, civic leaders, performers, and community groups to celebrate the rich diversity of Houston's Hispanic communities.

The Fiestas Patrias Parade is a powerful reminder of what makes Houston truly special — a city where cultures come together, legacies are honored, and the future is built together. As the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, we are proud to show up alongside our Hispanic community members, partners, and allies to celebrate unity, inclusion, and the spirit of our city! 🌈🇲🇽

A Note on Why We're Marching This Year

The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce made the decision to participate in the 2026 Fiestas Patrias Houston Parade in honor of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo — a member of our broader community whose life was taken far too soon in a senseless and tragic act of violence.

Lorenzo's death is a painful reminder that the work of building a more inclusive, safer, and more just Houston is not finished. As an organization committed to the dignity, visibility, and economic empowerment of LGBTQ+ people and our allies — including the vibrant Hispanic LGBTQ+ community that is so deeply woven into the fabric of this city — we believe that showing up in this parade this year is not just an act of celebration. It is an act of solidarity.

We march for Lorenzo. We march for every member of our community who deserves to live and love freely and safely. And we march with hope — that by continuing to show up, speak up, and stand together, we help build the Houston that all of us deserve.

🚗 Getting There

The parade takes place in Downtown Houston on Saturday, September 19, 2026 beginning at 10:00 AM. Marchers will need to arrive by 9:15 AM. Plan ahead — Downtown streets will be closed along the parade route. Rideshare is strongly recommended.
