🎤 FEATURED PROGRAM: FIRESIDE CHAT

This month, we are thrilled to bring you something truly special — an intimate Fireside Chat with two of the people at the very heart of the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.
Join us as Tammi Wallace (she/her), Co-Founder, President & CEO of the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, sits down with Gary Wood (he/him), Co-Founder, for a candid and personal conversation reflecting on a Decade of Impact. Our moderator will be Chamber Board Chair, Stephen Miranda (he/him).
As we celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month—and our Chamber's own 10-year milestone (and history made!)—Tammi and Gary will share the story of how the Chamber came to be, the challenges and triumphs along the way, and what the future holds for the Chamber over the next ten years. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the visionaries who built the Chamber from the ground up. As we close in on the end of the Chamber's 10-Year Anniversary year, we look forward to sharing insights from Gary and Tammi.
We are thrilled to have Stephen Miranda (he/him), Chamber Board Chair, moderate this timely discussion.
Stephen Miranda is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank and works closely with high-net-worth families, closely held companies, and philanthropic institutions around the country to build and execute comprehensive wealth planning strategies. In addition to serving as Chair of the Board of Directors of this organization, Stephen also serves as Chair of the Corporate Committee for The Menil Collection, and on the Board of the JD Doyle Archives. In 2024 he was appointed by the Harris County Department of Economic Equity and Opportunity to serve on their Opportunity Fund - Loan Review Committee, overseeing a $17 million-dollar initiative funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, providing low-interest capital to businesses in the region. He is a native Houstonian and a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma.
You won't want to miss this one.
LGBTQ+ HISTORY MONTH

The Banner Project
Attendees will have an opportunity to check out some of the mini LGBTQ+ History banners that are part of The Banner Project. This project debuted at the 2014 Creating Change Conference in Houston with banners highlighting 27 LGBTQ+ events and people across 11 decades of history. Since then, it has grown to 50 banners and serves as a traveling exhibit offering a snapshot of Houston’s LGBTQ history.
