CHAPTER MEETING: HOUSTON BUSINESS ACTION TO END HIV

Description

Join us for the first quarterly meeting of Houston Business Action to End HIV, where employers (whether large or small businesses) and community partners will come together to discuss key priorities for 2025. This collaborative session will focus on building stronger corporate engagement and advancing collective efforts to address and end the local HIV epidemic in Houston.

B/ERG leaders play an important role within their companies and we invite you to join this event, whether your company has signed on yet or not. We also invite community leaders of nonprofit organizations which are working to address HIV to join the conversation as well.





Lunch will be provided and complimentary parking is available in Amegy Bank’s parking garage. A virtual option will be available as well for this event for those who are unable to join in-person.

About the Houston Business Action to End HIV: 

Despite game-changing developments in HIV prevention and treatment, services are not reaching all who need them equally. Houston, home to 7.4 million people, ranks eighth in the nation for new HIV diagnoses and has lower rates of people remaining in HIV care and achieving viral suppression compared to the rest of the country. Black Americans, Latinos, and youth/young adults ages 13-24 are disproportionately impacted by HIV in Houston.

We are inviting influential Houston business leaders (whether small business or major employer) who are committed to the health of their workforce and community to learn how your company can help contribute to the end of HIV in Houston.

U.S. Business Action to End HIV, an initiative of the Health Action Alliance, has launched its second local coalition to engage the private sector in responding to the unique needs of the Houston epidemic. The Houston Chapter is locally managed by the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.
