Restaurant Grants Now Available: Applications Open for Grubhub-NGLCC FOOD Program Supporting LGBTQ+ and Allied Restaurants
This national initiative provides critical funding and business development resources to LGBTQ+ and allied restaurant owners, helping strengthen small businesses and sustain inclusive economic growth across Greater Houston and beyond.
Houston, TX (December 1, 2025) – The Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that applications are now open for the NGLCC FOOD: Fueling Opportunities for Owner Development Program, supported by the Grubhub Community Fund and presented in partnership with the National LGBTQ+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).
This national initiative provides critical funding and business development resources to LGBTQ+ and allied restaurant owners, helping strengthen small businesses and sustain inclusive economic growth across Greater Houston and beyond.
Through this year’s program, eligible restaurants may apply for grants of up to $2,500, along with access to structured learning cohorts, peer networking opportunities, and business training designed to help restaurant owners build resilience and long-term success.
Grant funding may be used for:
- Purchasing equipment or supplies
- Marketing, branding, and digital presence upgrades
- Community initiatives and programming
- Staff training and workforce development
- General business improvements and operational needs

Program Structure and Cohort Schedule
The 2026 program includes two virtual learning cohorts and an optional peer learning roundtable:
- Cohort 1: Monday, January 26, 2026 | 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. CT
- Cohort 2: Tuesday, February 17, 2026 | 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. CT
- Peer Learning Roundtable (Optional): February 23, 2026 | 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. CT
Restaurants will benefit not only from direct funding, but also from valuable training and peer connections that support business growth and sustainability.
Eligible restaurant owners are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
